Are you thinking of starting a blog yourself? Well if you are I would like to suggest a few of these hosts to make your blogging experience a breeze. That way you can focus on your witty lines and punches instead of the blogs appearance. To start I would like to recommend these:
Wordpress.org
This is my number 1 recommendation. For those who would like more control and can host their own site Wordpress is quite the popular blog software which makes makes it easy to find tools, widgets and themes for. Its is very easy to use, I use it everyday, and makes creating a functioning appealing website very easy.
Blogger.com
This host is google’s blogging platform and has been around for quite some time. Its easy to use and since google bought it the tools that are available are also numerous. There are a few things that require a little techy work, but for the most part it is very user friendly. This host does maintain the blogspot.com in your url, so if you don’t mind having your url as (insertyoursitehere).blogspot.com then it will work great for you.
Typepad.com
This blogging host has a variety of different packages that allow you to perform different features. However there are a few less tools unless you start to increase to a larger package for a high price. Which in the large package there is a lot more flexibility. This host also maintains the typepad.com in the url so again that would be (insertyoursitehere).typepad.com if you don’t mind.
Multiply.com
The host allows you to create blogs that can be private for your online social network so you can share photos and videos. Its a great way to have a blog that you share with friends and family. It has limited tools so if you are looking to have a notable blog for all to see you may want something more.
So if you want to start up a blog I would recommend starting by deciding what your blogs aim is. If you want to create a blog that becomes a popular site for reader commentary or want it to become a bit popular, i would suggest going to a host that does not maintain their domain in your url, just makes your site seem a little more official and not just another blog. If you are looking to blog just about your life for your friends and family to keep updated with I would recommend one such as bloggers.com for ease of use and usually cheaper.
Now go blog about your life, pet, business, or whatever you prefer. There are limitless possibilities.
